Job summary

Thompson Safety, LLC is seeking a Fire Protection Inspections Manager in the Broomall, PA area. This role leads inspection and testing operations for fire protection and life-safety systems, ensuring safety, accuracy, and compliance with NFPA standards and local codes.

You will supervise inspectors, coordinate scheduling and customer service, review documentation, and collaborate with AHJs and branch management.

Qualifications

Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
Three to five years of experience in fire protection inspection, testing, service, or related life-safety work.
Strong leadership and customer-service skills.
Ability to read and interpret inspection reports, system documentation, drawings, and codes.
Must maintain valid driver’s license and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

Directly manage and develop a team of inspectors.
Oversee daily operations: staffing, scheduling, workload distribution, field support.
Coordinate training, regulatory compliance, and professional development.
Participate in hiring, onboarding, promotions, and disciplinary actions.
Review reports for accuracy, code compliance, and quality.
Ensure permits, licenses, certifications, and qualifications are maintained.
Investigate complaints and quality concerns; implement corrective actions.
Assist management with budgeting, forecasting, and departmental planning.
