Job summary

Cuhaci & Peterson Architects, Engineers & Planners, Inc. in Orlando, FL is seeking an experienced Fire Protection Engineer to serve as Engineer of Record on multiple projects nationwide.

You will produce construction documents, coordinate with disciplines, and manage permitting, bidding and construction administration. The role requires a BS in Fire Protection Engineering and 10–15 years of licensed experience, with strong leadership, communication, and design-review skills.

Qualifications

• BS in Fire Protection Engineering required; PE licensure or eligibility.
• 10–15 years of licensed experience in fire protection engineering.
• Experience as Engineer of Record in multiple states.

Responsibilities

• Implement engineering projects with Construction Documents, permitting, bidding and construction administration.
• Ensure high QA on drawings, specs, and RFI responses.
• Lead design coordination with other disciplines and stakeholders.
• Prepare budget estimates and manage project scope and timelines.
• Serve as main contact for clients, contractors and consultants.
