Baker Hughes, a leading energy technology company, seeks a Lead Finance Specialist – Financial Reporting to design and implement robust internal controls and deliver accurate disclosures. You will collaborate across Sustainability, Controllership, and FP&A to streamline processes and ensure compliant reporting of emissions and sustainability metrics.

The role requires expert knowledge in financial disclosures with strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Subject matter expert in financial disclosures, auditing or other relevant financial/operational experience.
• Strong technical, analytical and decision-making skills with ability to interpret and summarize information.
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
• Ability to prioritize workflow to meet critical deadlines and pay close attention to detail.
• Effective problem identification and solution skills.

Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing internal controls to deliver accurate data.
• Handling communication with colleagues and the business about approaches to solving complex problems.
• Documenting SOPs and control framework covering CSRD, ISSB, EU Taxonomy, and GHG reporting.
• Collaborating between Sustainability, Controllership, and FP&A teams to drive efficiencies and eliminate duplicative work.
• Work with the business to account for U.S. federal funding on Research & Development projects.
• Collaborating with teams to formulate processes/controls for emissions, sustainability data, and metrics for reporting consistency.
• Supporting audit and compliance requirements for emissions accounting and reporting and resolving audit findings.
