Job summary

Baker Hughes is a large energy technology company seeking a Senior Director to lead the global technical accounting advisory function and the enterprise-wide SOX compliance program. You will be a key member of the Corporate Controller leadership team, guiding complex accounting judgments, accounting policy governance, and reporting risk.

In this role you will partner with senior finance leaders across the organization to ensure U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA required (or equivalent professional certification).
• Progressive experience in technical accounting, controllership, financial reporting and/or SOX/ICFR leadership.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, accounting policy governance and ICFR.
• Experience leading global SOX or internal controls programs in a multinational environment.
• Proven collaboration with external auditors, internal audit and senior finance leaders.
• Strong executive presence and ability to influence at a senior level.

Responsibilities

• Lead the company’s technical accounting advisory function with guidance on complex matters.
• Own accounting policy determination and interpretation of U.S. GAAP.
• Oversee technical accounting memoranda and position papers.
• Manage the global SOX program design, governance, scope and remediation.
• Coordinate ICFR assessment, control design reviews and testing oversight.
• Collaborate with Corporate Controller, DT, internal & external auditors on issues.
• Drive governance over consultations, policy approvals and control matters.
