Job summary

Baker Hughes Company is seeking a Senior Director - Technical Accounting Advisory & Global SOX to lead the global technical accounting advisory function and the enterprise-wide SOX compliance program.

The role sits on the Corporate Controller leadership team and partners with senior finance leadership to ensure US GAAP consistency, accounting policy oversight, and compliant financial reporting across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Significant progressive experience in technical accounting, controllership, financial reporting and/or SOX/ICFR leadership.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting implications.
• Experience leading global SOX or internal controls programs in a multinational environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the company's global technical accounting advisory function and provide authoritative guidance on complex accounting matters.
• Own the annual SOX strategy including risk assessment, scoping, controls, testing, and remediation oversight.
• Oversee accounting policy governance, document standards, and control rationalization across the organization.
• Partner with external auditors, internal audit, and senior finance leadership to ensure audit readiness and timely issue resolution.
• Lead and develop a high-performing global team and align resources with strategic priorities.
