Job summary

Cooper Machinery Services LLC seeks a Lead Field Service Technician – EST to guide emissions reduction and mechanical upgrade projects for reciprocating compression equipment across North America. You will own installations from planning through execution, mentor field technicians, troubleshoot complex problems, and build strong customer relationships while ensuring safety and quality.

Qualifications

• 10+ years hands-on experience with reciprocating engines and compression equipment.
• Electrical and controls experience supporting reciprocating equipment.
• Experience leading field crews and coordinating across North America.
• Strong focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Willingness to travel 200–300 days per year.

Responsibilities

• Lead field crews on emissions reduction and mechanical upgrade projects.
• Own installations, commissioning, start-ups, maintenance, and major repairs.
• Direct removal and replacement of engine components.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and improve reliability.
• Collaborate with customers, field ops, engineering, and project teams.
• Monitor performance and recommend efficiency improvements.
• Lead daily safety discussions and site inspections.
• Mentor technicians and develop future field service staff.
• Represent Cooper as a trusted technical expert.
