Job summary

Electric Power Systems is a NETA-accredited electrical testing and engineering firm seeking a Field Technician III in Nashville. You will lead crews, perform advanced testing and maintenance, and troubleshoot complex substation equipment in support of commissioning and field operations.

The role emphasizes safety, technical leadership, and collaboration with engineers and project teams. Candidates should have 5+ years of experience, NETA III certification, and the ability to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or associates in Electrical/Electronic tech or military exp preferred.
• 5+ years in the field industry experience.
• NETA III certification.
• Industry certification programs preferred (Infrared, Corona, Oil Analysis, Manufacturers, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Lead safety-focused field execution of testing, inspection, and maintenance on LV/MV/HV equipment.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical and control-system issues using schematics and test gear.
• Coordinate daily field activities with engineers, project managers, and crews.
• Mentor and train junior technicians, ensuring adherence to best practices.
• Review field documentation and ensure accuracy of test reports and maintenance logs.
