Job summary

Electric Power Systems is a field-service provider in Nashville, TN, seeking a Field Technician III to lead crews, perform advanced testing and maintenance on high, medium, and low voltage equipment, and support commissioning and field operations.

The role requires 5+ years in electrical industry, a degree in Electrical/Electronic technology or military experience, and NETA I II I certification. Travel, safety leadership, and mentoring junior technicians are key parts of the job.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Associates Degree in Electrical/Electronic technology, or Military experience preferred.
• 5+ Years Relevant Industry Experience
• NETA I II I Certified
• Industry Certification Programs preferred - e.g. Infrared, Corona, Oil Analysis, Manufacturers, etc.

Responsibilities

• Lead field execution of testing, inspection, and maintenance of high, medium, and low voltage electrical equipment.
• Perform advanced testing and diagnostics on circuit breakers, transformers, instrument transformers, grounding systems, battery systems, and switchgear.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical and control system issues using schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical expertise.
• Direct repair, replacement, and maintenance activities to ensure proper restoration of equipment functionality.
• Support installation and commissioning activities, including leading functional testing and system verification.
• Mentor and train junior technicians, providing technical guidance and reinforcing best practices.
