Job summary

Sandis is seeking a Party Chief to lead surveying operations in the Los Angeles metropolitan area. The role requires coordinating the crew, performing staking and as-built surveys, and ensuring data quality and safety on site.

The ideal candidate should have local union apprenticeship experience or be enrolled, with knowledge of Trimble and Leica equipment, and a valid driver's license. The position is full-time and on-site, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated surveying knowledge and field procedures.
• Proficiency with surveying equipment and data collection methods.
• Familiarity with safety standards and field QC processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform all types of surveys including staking and as-builts.
• Plan and coordinate survey crew efforts to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Perform field quality control of design documents.
• Assist with survey computations and data collection.
• Train team in survey methods and equipment use (Leica).
• Communicate with office survey team, owners, and contractors.
• Maintain and operate survey equipment properly.
