Job summary

Core States Group is seeking a Survey Crew Chief to lead a field survey crew in Kalama, WA or Kalamazoo, MI operations. The role emphasizes construction staking, boundary and topographic surveys, with responsibility for equipment and data integrity.

Ideal candidates bring 5–7 years of land surveying and 5 years of crew chief experience, a valid driver’s license, and a proactive safety mindset. The position offers full-time hours with benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 5-7 years of land surveying experience.
• 5 years of crew chief experience.
• Valid driver’s license with satisfactory motor vehicle record.
• First aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a field survey crew for construction staking, boundary surveys, and topographic surveys.
• Operate and maintain survey equipment to ensure accurate data collection.
• Direct and support survey crew members in daily field activities.
• Communicate with project teams and clients regarding field progress and needs.
• Ensure field work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
