Job summary

McKim & Creed is seeking an experienced field survey crew chief to organize field work, direct crews, ensure safety, and manage equipment and vehicles across Louisiana and the Southeast Region. You will collect field data, locate features, deliver results to the office, and keep accurate records of work and expenses, with travel and outdoor work in all conditions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3–10+ years field survey operations experience.
• Minimum 1 year as survey crew chief.
• Experience with Construction Staking, Topographic and Boundary Surveying.
• Proficiency with survey equipment (total stations, data collectors, GPS).
• Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record.
• Willingness for some overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Operate field survey crews in Louisiana or Southeast Region.
• Organize field work focusing on quality, safety, and budgets.
• Accurately collect field data and locating features, deliver to the office.
• Maintain records of work and expenses.
• Work outdoors year-round, through various terrains and weather.
