Job summary

BL Companies Inc. is seeking an experienced Land Survey Crew Chief to oversee field operations and guide a survey team across boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, construction layout, and as-built surveys.

This role requires extensive travel (up to 75%) to project sites and the ability to manage field data collection, field notes, and daily photos while ensuring safety and adherence to standards. Candidates should have 4+ years of progressive surveying experience, proficiency with surveying

Qualifications

• 4+ years of progressive experience in land surveying.
• Proficiency operating surveying equipment and data collection software.
• Strong knowledge of boundary, ALTA/NSPS, and construction staking.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise one or more field survey team members.
• Perform boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS surveys, construction staking, and as-built surveys.
• Travel extensively to project sites to support surveying operations.
• Prepare field notes, sketches, and daily photos for projects.
• Maintain and calibrate survey equipment and ensure safety compliance.
