Job summary

You will mentor junior staff, operate survey instruments, and coordinate with project supervisors to ensure timely, precise results for road and site projects in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of field survey experience and at least 2+ year of experience as a Crew Chief, or equivalent knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform advanced field surveys within the defined project scope and budget, using the most efficient methods, and in accordance with applicable standards of practice.
• Interact with project site supervisors and client field representatives.
• Prepare accurate, detailed field notes and reports of daily activity in a timely manner.
• Perform in-field calculations for construction stakeout and various land surveys with minimal assistance from office support team.
• Review and instruct other crew personnel on safety hazards, PPE, etc. associated with the work being performed.
