Job summary

Manhard Consulting, An Atwell Company, is seeking a field survey professional to direct Instrument Person(s) and oversee diverse surveying projects in the Lombard area. You will conduct houseline, topographic, boundary, ALTA, and construction staking surveys, ensuring accuracy and adherence to quality standards.

You will mentor crew members, coordinate with office surveyors, and manage field data collection, notes, and CAD outputs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and/or Surveying Degree with 5-8 years’ minimum experience.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities for crew chiefs and interns.
• Excellent oral and technical written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct Instrument Person(s) in the field and coordinate with site superintendents.
• Maintain accurate timekeeping and project descriptions for daily entries.
• Ensure field notes, sketches, and data files are properly stored and uploaded.
• Operate and maintain field survey instruments and equipment.
• Mentor and train field personnel in surveying techniques and safety.
