Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as a Survey Crew Chief.
• Experience with large boundary surveys and power/renewable energy projects.
• Background in construction staking and land development (residential, commercial, mixed-use).
• Expertise using Trimble equipment and Trimble Business Center.
• Ability to read engineering plans, plats, and survey data with confidence.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, keeping crews aligned.
• High attention to detail and pride in delivering accurate work.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for large projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead field operations on large boundary surveys, renewable energy sites, and land development projects.
• Perform construction staking for residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.
• Set control, run layout, and deliver data for topographic, boundary, and as-built surveys.
• Operate and maintain Trimble equipment with focus on accuracy and efficiency.
• Start days from the company vehicle and travel to project sites.
• Review, verify, and fine-tune field data for precision.
• Maintain clear field notes for CAD and office coordination.
• Work independently or lead a small crew and own projects.
• Mentor junior staff and share expertise.
• Participate in training and industry conferences to stay sharp.
