Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as a Survey Crew Chief.
• Strong experience with large boundary surveys and power/renewable energy projects.
• Background in construction staking and land development (residential, commercial, mixed-use).
• Expertise using Trimble equipment and Trimble Business Center.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering plans, plats, and survey data.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• High attention to detail and travel flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Lead field operations on large boundary surveys, renewable energy sites, and land development projects, ensuring quality and precision.
• Perform construction staking for residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.
• Set control, run layout, and deliver accurate data for topographic, boundary, and as-built surveys.
• Operate and maintain Trimble equipment with focus on accuracy and efficiency.
• Start day from company vehicle and travel to project sites.
• Review, verify, and fine-tune field data.
• Maintain clear field notes for coordination with office and CAD teams.
• Work independently or lead a small crew, mentoring junior staff.
