Job summary

McKim & Creed, Inc. is seeking a Field Survey Crew Chief to organize field work, lead crews, ensure safety, and accurately collect data across central Virginia regions.

You will operate survey crews, manage field tasks to meet quality, schedule, and budget goals, and deliver data to the office. Requires 3 years of field operations experience with at least 1 year as crew chief, plus proficiency with total stations, data collectors, and GPS.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3 years progressive experience in survey field operations with no less than 1 year as a survey crew chief.
• Experienced performing Construction Staking, Topographic and Boundary Surveying for Civil Site Land Development.
• Proficiency with survey equipment (total stations, data collectors and GPS equipment).

Responsibilities

• Operate field survey crews on projects in central Virginia (Norfolk).
• Organize field work focusing on quality, safety, scheduling, budgets and client service.
• Accurately collect field data, locate features and deliver data to the office; maintain records of work and expenses.
• Walk outdoors year-round through all terrains and weather conditions.
