Job summary

This role emphasizes safety, organization, and alignment with project needs; you will train team members on total station, GPS, levels, and data collectors, operate a company vehicle, and ensure quality control

Qualifications

• Lead daily field crew operations for land surveying projects.
• Operate, maintain, and care for survey equipment and data collection tools.
• Transfer files between data collection systems and internal project folders.
• Perform quality checks and process field data and reports.
• Train field team members on survey equipment and data collection.
• Follow safety procedures at all times.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform daily field crew operations for land surveying projects, including boundary surveys, topographic surveys, and construction stakeouts
• Operate, maintain, and care for survey equipment, data collection tools, and other geodetic equipment
• Transfer files between data collection systems and internal project folders
• Perform quality checks and process field data, including downloading and verifying project data and reports
• Maintain professional relationships with clients and coworkers
• Train field team members on total station, GPS, levels, and data collectors used for field survey data collection
• Perform pre-field staking calculations and prepare as-staked cutsheets and deliverables as needed
• Operate a company vehicle in support of field activities
• Follow safety and security procedures at all times
