Job summary

Actalent seeks a Survey Crew Chief to lead field crews and deliver high-quality land surveying projects across topographic, boundary, ALTA, and construction stakeout.

This role offers ownership of field operations, mentoring teammates, and working with modern survey technology while ensuring safety and client deadlines.

Open to experienced Party Chiefs or strong Instrument Operators ready to step into crew leadership, with travel to project sites.

Qualifications

• 3+ years land surveying experience with crew leadership preferred.
• Experience with topographic, boundary, ALTA, as-built, and construction stakeout surveys.
• Strong understanding of field calculations, traverses, coordinate geometry, and control networks.
• Proficiency with modern survey equipment (Leica, Trimble, Topcon, Total Stations, GPS).
• Ability to read plans, deeds, easements, and right-of-way documents.
• Valid driver''s license and willingness to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct survey field crews daily with safety and accuracy.
• Coordinate with leadership to maintain project schedules and deadlines.
• Assign tasks and provide daily direction to field teams.
• Perform data collection, control establishment, and documentation.
• Manage schedules, monitor progress, and report status updates.
