Job summary

Homebound is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead field operations for single-family home projects in Los Angeles. You will manage the entire construction process from mobilization to delivery with a focus on safety, quality, and schedule compliance.

You will drive our LA wildfire rebuild efforts, coordinate with Project Managers, and ensure work stays on budget while delivering exceptional homes for the community.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in the construction industry, with direct field experience in home building.
• Ability to read and interpret structural plans and blueprints independently.
• Understanding of local building codes, permits, and home construction processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate all aspects of on-site construction for your assigned homes.
• Manage the simultaneous construction of up to 15 single-family homes in various stages; monitor workmanship and adherence to scopes of work.
• Execute daily operations using Homebound’s proprietary project management software.
• Approve trade partner work and invoices based on quality and completeness.
• Lead on-site safety protocol implementation and ensure compliance with codes and permitting requirements.
• Maintain project documentation and communicate changes to scope, plans, and specifications.
• Follow procedures for communication, change orders, and financial tracking.
• Keep daily logs of site activity and coordinate inspections to maintain schedule momentum; support buyouts and budgeting discussions with Project Managers.
• Participate in client walks and obtain occupancy permits upon completion.
• Perform other construction-related duties as needed.
