Job summary

RAM Construction is seeking a Superintendent to plan and facilitate field activities, site safety, scheduling, quality control, and subcontractor coordination on projects in the Los Angeles area.

The role requires experience supervising GC projects, strong drawing-reading skills for architectural/MEP plans, and proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Project. Excellent communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising construction projects for a General Contractor.
• Background in class-A office space and occupied buildings is a plus.
• Ground-up construction experience is a plus.
• Experience working in Los Angeles municipalities, interfacing with building inspectors and code enforcement officers is required.
• Proficiency reading architectural, structural and MEP construction drawings.
• Ability to schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in the critical path for timely completion.
• Must have experience with Microsoft Project and scheduling through the software.

Responsibilities

• Walk project daily to monitor activities and plan future work.
• Perform quality control on ongoing work.
• Communicate with project team on ASIs, RFIs, and submittals.
• Ensure subcontractors execute contracted scope.
• Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions.
• Preside over weekly subcontractor and safety meetings.
• Maintain daily Procore logs of site activities.
• Address deficiencies and ensure corrective actions.
• Identify conflicts in progress and communicate resolutions.
