Job summary

Honeywell is seeking a Lead Field Service Technician to perform on-site servicing and repair of complex equipment across the greater Chicago area. You will train customers on proper usage, troubleshooting, and basic repair procedures, and assist in quoting service contracts with sales and local management.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma/GED and 3+ years' field service experience with fire alarm or security systems, plus the ability to read diagrams. NICET certification is preferred.

Lead Field Service Technician

Achieves successful on-site servicing and repair of complex equipment and systems without direct supervision. You will participate in continuous improvement initiatives in the field to quickly fix administrative difficulties relating to delivery of service. You will train the customer on proper usage, troubleshooting, and basic repair procedures for complex equipment. You will deliver and participate in training sessions for fellow technicians. You will work with sales and local management to help deliver accurate quotes to customers. You will assist in the management of service contracts for key accounts.

YOU MUST HAVE
  • High School Diploma/ GED.
  • 3+ years of field service experience with commercial fire alarm systems and/or security systems (card access and cameras).
  • 3+ years of experience reading & interpreting mechanical/electrical drawings and diagrams.
  • Valid driver’s license.

  • Experience programming fire panels and performing inspections
  • Knowledge of commercial building infrastructure
  • Good written and oral communication

The annual base salary range for this position is $79,000 to $89,000.
