Job summary

Integrated Power Services (IPS) in Texas seeks a Field Service professional to lead field teams, perform advanced electrical testing, and ensure safe, reliable operation of customer equipment. You will mentor technicians, develop scope for maintenance tasks, and support proposal development and job walks.

Travel and on-call duties are required. Required are 5+ years of relevant experience, high school diploma or equivalent, and strong safety and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree from an accredited 2-year technical college in Electrical Power, or equivalent military experience preferred.
• NETA Certification II or higher preferred or equivalent skills/experience to become NETA Certified.
• OSHA 30 hour, MSHA, NFPA 70-E, CPR/First Aid/BBP/AED training preferred.
• Ability to collaborate with team members.
• Strong customer focus with professional communication.
• Must have at least 3 years of experience operating a vehicle with a valid, unrestricted driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead jobs and service technicians in the field.
• Represent the company in a knowledgeable and professional manner.
• Assist with developing proposals, performing job walks, and defining work scope to meet customer needs and requirements on reliability, preventative maintenance, and NETA testing of customer equipment.
• Mentor and train team members in advanced electrical skills and maintenance practices.
• Take on assigned responsibilities under the Project Manager's direction.
• Complete a field service safety checklist on every job to identify and mitigate hazards.
• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, start-up and collect data on LV/MV/HV electrical systems up to 500kV and relay calibration.
• Test transformers, relays, and power metering; perform cable testing and switchgear testing.
• Rotate emergency on-call duties and respond to customer emergencies.
