Job summary

Herc Rentals in Oklaunion, TX is seeking a Field Service Mechanic A to lead fleet maintenance and repairs on customer sites. You will mentor junior techs, perform diagnostics, and ensure work aligns with safety and quality standards while maintaining a fully equipped service truck.

The role requires strong knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, propane and fuel systems, plus proficiency with diagnostic tools and fleet management systems. Local travel is involved.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficiency with electrical, hydraulic, propane and fuel systems.
• Strong diagnostic tool skills and fleet-management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead fleet maintenance and repairs at customer sites.
• Perform routine maintenance and component replacements in the field.
• Produce detailed service reports and repair logs per visit.
• Mentor B/C level techs and coordinate field service personnel.
• Ensure safety standards and field procedures are followed.
