Job summary

Cool Pest is building a premium residential pest-control company on the East Coast and seeks two experienced Service Managers to lead frontline technician teams, improve service quality, and help establish a people-first, accountable field organization.

As a Service Manager, you will coach, inspect, and support technicians, scale teams toward 8–12 members, and collaborate with the Call Center Manager and COO to implement SOPs, safety practices, and efficient field operations.

Qualifications

• Current or recent leadership experience supervising residential pest-control technicians, with evidence of coaching and improving field performance.
• Strong inspection-first service judgment, customer communication, documentation habits, and calm problem solving.
• Ability to use performance data and field observation to improve retention, quality, callback rates, and technician development.
• Relevant DC or Maryland credentials preferred; exact credential and work authority will be verified before regulated field assignments.
• Ability to meet job-related driving, screening, physical, and schedule requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coach, develop, and hold technicians accountable through regular ride-alongs, field observation, service-note/photo review, and timely feedback.
• Monitor service quality, callbacks, customer retention, route productivity, attendance, and documentation; identify issues early and drive practical corrective action.
• Support complex services, customer recovery, field training, and onboarding while staying within assigned credentials and work authority.
• Reinforce company field SOPs, safety practices, PPE, label/SDS, credential, incident-reporting, vehicle-readiness, and inventory controls; report gaps and recommend improvements.
• Coordinate daily with the Call Center Manager on routing, capacity, service commitments, and customer issues.
• Escalate staffing, compliance, safety, vehicle, and customer risks promptly to the Chief Operations Officer.
