Job summary

FormFactor, Inc. in Portland, Oregon is seeking a Sr. Principal Field Service Engineer to lead installation, qualification, troubleshooting, and optimization of probe card systems.

You will work with manufacturing, product engineering, and quality teams to ensure performance and customer satisfaction, with extensive travel. You will mentor field staff, drive root cause analysis, support new product introductions, and contribute to service improvements while maintaining high standards of safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher with substantial experience in field service or related roles.
• Experience in semiconductor equipment, field service, or test systems preferred.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Provide preventive and corrective maintenance at customer sites for FormFactor probe card systems.
• Install, configure, qualify, and support probe card systems and related test interfaces.
• Respond to service requests via onsite visits, phone, email, and remote diagnostics.
• Diagnose and resolve complex hardware and process issues; lead containment and corrective actions.
• Partner with Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Program Management to improve product performance.
• Conduct technical training and mentoring for Field Service Engineers and customers.
