Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a senior field engineer/supervisor to oversee field service teams within a designated area, performing complex testing and commissioning of electrical systems. The role requires hands-on fieldwork, client liaison, and cost/billing responsibilities.

Responsibilities include leading large projects, developing tests, and delivering detailed reports while traveling up to 50% and maintaining strict safety standards.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of NEC and industry standards (OSHA, NFPA).
• Experience with high/medium voltage substation start-up and testing.
• Ability to supervise large-scale field projects and manage reporting/billing.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train and assist field service engineers and technicians.
• Perform complex troubleshooting on electrical apparatus and systems.
• Lead projects such as generator tests, substations commissioning and turnkey projects.
• Develop tests and inspections in new field service areas.
• Prepare proposals, schedule work, generate reports and invoices.
