Job summary

Vertiv in Albuquerque is seeking a Senior Field Engineer to supervise and assist a team of field service engineers, perform fieldwork, and provide technical support to a regional group. The role includes leading complex testing and commissioning of substations, preparing estimates and reports, and coordinating projects with internal teams.

Travel may be required. Strong knowledge of NEC, power systems, and field equipment testing is expected, with a proven ability to manage large-scale projects

Qualifications

• Graduate engineer with BSEE/BSME and six years' experience.
• Graduate of Electrical Technical School or Military equivalent with nine years' experience.
• High school education or equivalent with ten years' experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train and assist field service engineers and technicians.
• Perform complex troubleshooting, specialized tests, inspections, and appraisals on electrical systems.
• Lead large projects such as generator start-up, substation commissioning, and turnkey projects.
• Develop tests and inspections in new areas of field services.
• Prepare job estimates, proposals, scheduling, reports, and billing.
• Write detailed project reports and process billing.
• Possess ability to perform complex analysis for equipment-labeling projects.
