Job summary

Honeywell Technologies is seeking an Advanced Field Service Engineer to lead on-site installation, programming, maintenance, and troubleshooting of on-premises access control systems. You will be the primary technical contact, ensuring security and continuity at customer facilities in Louisiana, with a remote work schedule from Baton Rouge.

Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience deploying enterprise security infrastructure, strong IT networking knowledge, and familiarity with Honeywell

Qualifications

• 5+ years of field experience installing, configuring, and maintaining Honeywell and other access control systems.
• Strong knowledge of IT networking including IP addressing, subnetting, PoE+, and standard protocols.
• Familiarity with industrial interfaces (PAGA, TWIC, plant radio, etc.) integrated with Honeywell platforms.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and support on-premises security systems, focusing on Honeywell EBI and DVM.
• Mount, wire, configure panels, power supplies, readers, cameras, and related equipment.
• Oversee field installation activities for devices and panels, including cameras, readers, locks, and indicators.
• Configure reader technologies (proximity, smart cards, secure OSDP) and ensure integrations with video surveillance and life-safety systems.
• Diagnose hardware/software issues on customer-hosted systems and perform preventive maintenance.
