Job summary

Honeywell International Inc. is seeking a Field Service Engineer II – Security Systems (Access Control) to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and support on-premises access control and security systems at customer facilities from Baton Rouge, LA.

You will work at customer sites across the region, including refineries and LNG facilities. You will be responsible for installing and servicing access control hardware, software, and infrastructure, diagnosing issues, coordinating with customers, and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years of field service or security systems experience.
• Basic knowledge of access control hardware and low-voltage wiring.
• Networking fundamentals including IP addressing and Ethernet.
• Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and use diagnostic tools.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client sites.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work safely from ladders or lifts.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, test, and maintain Honeywell access control and security systems (EBI, DVM).
• Install and service access control panels, readers, cameras, and related devices.
• Assist with commissioning, upgrades, and troubleshooting for reliable operation.
• Diagnose hardware failures, network issues, and software errors.
• Perform preventive maintenance and firmware updates.
• Support integrations between access control, video, intrusion, and life-safety systems.
• Provide technical assistance on system operation and credential management.
• Read and interpret drawings and schematics for field installations.
• Document service visits, configurations, and customer issues accurately.
• Follow safety policies and site procedures while delivering field service.
