Job summary

Honeywell seeks an Advanced Field Service Engineer to lead on-site installation, programming, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Honeywell access control systems in Baton Rouge, LA. You will be the main technical contact to ensure security and continuous operations for industrial facilities across Louisiana.

You will report to the Field Service Engineering Manager and work a remote-friendly schedule from our Baton Rouge location, with extensive travel and hands-on work across LNG, refineries,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of field experience installing, configuring, and maintaining Honeywell and other access control systems.
• Strong knowledge of IT networking including IP addressing, subnetting, PoE+, and standard protocols.
• Familiarity with industrial interfaces such as PAGA, TWIC, plant radio, integrated with Honeywell platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with minimal supervision.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
• Valid driver’s license with 70–80% travel to customer sites.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work safely from ladders or lifts.
• Ability to obtain BOSIET and HUET training as required.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and support on-premises physical security systems (EBI, DVM).
• Mount, wire, configure modular panels, readers, cameras, and related equipment.
• Oversee field device installation, including cameras, readers, door hardware, and power supplies.
• Configure reader technologies using proximity and smart cards, and OSDP devices.
• Diagnose hardware, software, and network issues; perform preventive maintenance.
• Maintain integrations between access control, video surveillance, intrusion, and life-safety systems.
