Job summary

Carrier is seeking a Lead Field Engineer for Automated Logic, a Carrier Company, to own turnkey project delivery. You will lead installation, commissioning, and system integration while mentoring junior technicians and coordinating with project managers for risk-aware execution.

The role requires 75% domestic travel and living within 75 miles of a major airport, with proficiency in ALC products and ASHRAE guidelines to ensure safe, high-performance systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 5+ years of professional experience in Building Automation or HVAC.
• 75% domestic travel and residence within 75 miles of a major airport.
• Valid Driver’s License and insurability by company carrier.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as squatting and climbing.
• Comfort with working over 8 feet and using ladders and motorized lift equipment.

Responsibilities

• Turn-Key Delivery: Own the install, commissioning, and troubleshooting of DDC systems; deliver full software solutions, including sequencing, graphics, and alarms.
• Technical Leadership: Mentor junior techs and act as a trusted advisor to customers.
• Risk & Coordination: Partner with Project Managers to manage risk and align execution.
• Travel & Flexibility: Travel as needed and stay adaptable to shifting priorities.
• Proficiency & Growth: Demonstrate deep proficiency with ALC products, system architectures, and ASHRAE guidelines.
• Project Integrity: Maintain expert-level documentation for commissioning logs and progress tracking.
