Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation in Harrisonburg, VA is seeking a Field Engineer who will own turnkey project delivery for DDC systems, including installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of controls solutions. You will mentor junior technicians, collaborate with project managers to manage risk, and travel as project priorities require, ensuring high-quality, safe, and compliant systems.

Strong knowledge of ALC products and building automation, plus ability to work at height and lift up to 50

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Must possess a valid, current Driver’s License and be insurable by the company’s insurance carrier.
• Ability to lift items up to 50lbs and perform physical tasks such as squatting and climbing for extended periods.
• Capable of working over 8 feet above grade and proficient in the use of ladders and motorized lift equipment.

Responsibilities

• Turn-Key Delivery: Own the install, commissioning, and troubleshooting of DDC systems; deliver full software solutions, including sequencing, graphics, and alarms.
• Technical Leadership: Serve as lead resource and mentor for junior techs; act as trusted advisor to customers to ensure high-quality outcomes.
• Risk & Coordination: Partner with Project Managers to manage risk and align execution; coordinate with teams for clear communication and reliable delivery.
• Travel & Flexibility: Travel as needed and stay adaptable to shifting priorities and field workloads.
• Proficiency & Growth: Demonstrate deep proficiency with ALC products, system architectures, and ASHRAE guidelines; deliver safe, high-performance systems.
• Project Integrity: Maintain expert-level documentation, including commissioning logs and progress tracking.
