Job summary

Bechtel Corporation in Clay, NY seeks a Project Field Engineer Lead to manage a team and provide field engineering leadership for work planning, material management, quantity validation, safety and quality control, technical inspection and testing, and coordination of system turnover and subcontracts.

Your oversight will ensure field engineering activities operate safely, are complete, and conform to quality standards and project requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required (or international equivalent) with 10–13 years of relevant experience or 14–17 years thereof.
• Deep knowledge of project specs, codes, ITPs, and Bechtel quality systems; ensures right-first-time installation across disciplines.
• Leads quality planning and readiness; integrates quality requirements into AWP and field execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead field engineering activities and supervise the assigned engineering staff.
• Coordinate inspections, review NCRs, and drive corrective actions to prevent repeats.
• Direct design of temporary construction facilities and oversee material requisitions.
