Job summary

Automated Logic, a Carrier Company, is seeking a Lead Field Engineer to own turn-key project delivery for complex building automation systems. You will lead install, commissioning, and troubleshooting of DDC systems, and mentor junior technicians.

Travel as needed, strong proficiency with ALC products and ASHRAE guidelines, and end-to-end accountability are required to deliver safe, high-performance environments for diverse customers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 4+ years of professional experience in Building Automation or HVAC.
• Must possess a valid, current Driver’s License and be insurable by the company’s insurance carrier.
• Ability to lift items up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as squatting and climbing for extended periods.
• Capable of working over 8 feet above grade and proficient in the use of ladders and motorized lift equipment.

Responsibilities

• Turn-Key Delivery: Own the install, commissioning, and troubleshooting of DDC systems. Deliver full software solutions, including sequencing, graphics, and alarms.
• Technical Leadership: Act as the lead resource and mentor for junior techs. Serve as a trusted advisor to customers, ensuring predictable, high-quality outcomes.
• Risk & Coordination: Partner with Project Managers to manage risk and align execution. Coordinate with teams to ensure clear communication and reliable delivery.
• Travel & Flexibility: Travel as needed and stay adaptable to shifting priorities, project demands, and field workloads.
• Proficiency & Growth: Demonstrate deep proficiency with ALC products, system architectures, and ASHRAE guidelines. Apply this expertise to deliver safe, high‑performance systems across complex customer environments.
• Project Integrity: Maintain expert‑level documentation, including commissioning logs and progress tracking, to ensure safe and compliant system delivery.
