Job summary

Accounting Search is seeking a Lead Field Automation Specialist to serve Southern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois with on-site field and shop work. You will program PLC/HMI, troubleshoot electro-mechanical systems, and lead retrofits on production machinery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years electro-mechanical maintenance in industrial or automation settings.
• 2+ years multi-platform PLC/HMI programming from scratch.
• Mastery of panel wiring, schematics, power distribution and motor controls.
• Able to diagnose hydraulic/pneumatic systems and safety interlocks.
• Open to candidates without a formal diploma if hands-on experience matches.

Responsibilities

• Lead Field Maintenance & Commissioning across Southern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois.
• Design and program controls software on multiple PLC/HMI platforms.
• Perform advanced electrical and controls troubleshooting on-site.
• Diagnose fluid power and mechanical systems, perform repairs as needed.
• Install, commission, and retrofit automation machinery and safety systems.
• Provide on-site technical support to minimize client downtime.
