Job summary

Next Level Technician is seeking a Lead Fiber Technician for a demanding data center project in Spartanburg, SC. The role requires a solid fiber optic foundation, with responsibilities including pulling, terminating, splicing, and testing fiber as you help build out a new data center.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of commercial fiber optic installation experience.
• Experience pulling, terminating, testing, and/or fusion splicing fiber optic cable.
• Ability to read blueprints and installation drawings.
• OSHA 10 Certification is required.
• Valid Driver's License for data center access.
• Full PPE and basic low voltage tools.

Responsibilities

• Pull, route, dress, and label fiber optic cable throughout a new construction data center.
• Terminate fiber connectors including LC, SC, MPO, and other connector types.
• Perform fusion splicing and maintain splice documentation.
• Test fiber using OTDRs, OLTS, power meters, and light sources.
• Read and interpret blueprints and fiber routing drawings.
• Follow OSHA and jobsite safety requirements and maintain clean installations.
