Job summary

Next Level Technician is seeking a Low Voltage Fiber Superintendent in Spartanburg, SC to lead field operations on a large-scale data center project. You will oversee fiber installation, testing, and coordination with multiple crews, ensuring safety and quality throughout the build.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in fiber, 3+ years in leadership roles, and a strong background in fiber infrastructure. OSHA 10 is required, with OSHA 30 preferred; valid driver's license and ability to pass

Qualifications

• 7+ years of commercial fiber optic or structured cabling experience.
• 3+ years leading crews as a Superintendent or similar role.
• Strong fiber infrastructure knowledge and ability to read drawings.
• OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30 preferred.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass drug screen/background check.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily field operations for multiple fiber crews on a large data center project.
• Plan manpower, materials, equipment, and schedules to meet milestones.
• Read construction drawings and fiber routing plans to ensure compliance.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Foremen, and contractors.
• Ensure proper fiber installation, testing, and QA/QC documentation.
• Mentor Leads and Technicians; conduct daily safety meetings.

Low Voltage Superintendent - Fiber - Spartanburg, SC

Join Next Level Technician as a Low Voltage Fiber Superintendent supporting a large-scale new construction data center in Spartanburg, SC. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced leader who can successfully manage field operations while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and production. Earn $40-$55/hr (DOE) while leading one of the industry's fastest-growing market sectors.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily field operations for multiple fiber installation crews on a large-scale data center project
• Plan and coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and project schedules
• Read and interpret construction drawings, fiber routing plans, pathway drawings, and project specifications
• Coordinate daily activities with Project Managers, Foremen, General Contractors, and other trades
• Ensure all fiber pathways, backbone installations, and consolidation points are installed to project specifications
• Maintain high standards for cable routing, labeling, dressing, documentation, and overall workmanship
• Oversee installation, termination, fusion splicing, and testing of fiber optic infrastructure
• Review QA/QC documentation, testing results, and proof of work before project turnover
• Monitor production goals, labor efficiency, and project milestones while resolving field issues proactively
• Mentor Leads and Technicians while fostering a positive, safety-focused team environment
• Conduct daily safety meetings and ensure compliance with OSHA and customer requirements
• Coordinate inspections, punch list completion, and final project turnover

Requirements

• 7+ years of commercial fiber optic or structured cabling experience
• 3+ years of experience leading crews as a Superintendent, General Foreman, or Senior Lead
• Strong background in commercial or data center fiber infrastructure
• Thorough understanding of fiber pulling, termination, testing, and fusion splicing
• Ability to read construction drawings, pathway layouts, and project schedules
• Experience coordinating multiple crews and subcontractors simultaneously
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• OSHA 10 required (OSHA 30 strongly preferred)
• Valid Driver's License
• Ability to pass a drug screen and background check

Compensation & Schedule

• Pay: $40-$55/hr DOE
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM-5:00 PM (approximately 50 hours/week)
• Overtime available as project needs require
• Must be flexible for occasional nights and weekends
