Job summary

MorCore is seeking a sharp, dependable Lead Fiber Splice Technician to oversee and drive the success of multiple civil construction and sitework projects. You will coordinate field operations, manage resources, and lead teams across several job sites to ensure on-time and within-budget completion.

The role requires hands-on management, strong organizational skills, and the ability to read splice documentation and plans, using fusion splicing machines and OTDR tools to ensure fiber integrity.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction project management or related fields.
• 5+ years of experience in fiber splicing or related utility construction preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a motivated, self-starting attitude.
• Reliable and punctual with a solid work ethic.
• Must be comfortable working outdoors and in physically demanding environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple construction projects from planning through closeout.
• Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, field crews, materials, and equipment.
• Monitor job progress, resolve issues in real time, and ensure on-time delivery.
• Maintain accurate documentation and daily project logs.
• Communicate with clients to ensure smooth operations.
• Monitor safety protocols are met.
• Travel to job sites as required, often with overnight stays and weekend availability.
