Job summary

GAC Enterprises LLC is seeking a Fiber Splicing Manager to oversee splicing operations across telecom and infrastructure projects. You will lead splicing teams, manage subcontractors, and provide the technical expertise to keep work safe, accurate, and on schedule.

This outdoor, travel-heavy role requires 5+ years of fiber optic splicing experience, proven leadership of crews or subcontractors, and strong knowledge of OTDR and power meter testing.

Qualifications

• Must have 5+ years of fiber optic splicing experience.
• Experience leading splicing teams or subcontractors.
• Advanced knowledge of fiber splicing, OTDR testing, and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain expert-level knowledge of Fiber Splicer duties.
• Lead splicing teams: hiring, training, performance evaluations.
• Oversee subcontractors to ensure safety and standards.
• Provide daily updates to Project Managers on progress and forecasts.
• Track productivity, labor, and material usage while maintaining budgets.
• Provide technical guidance during outages; hands-on splicing as needed.
• Review OTDR and power meter test results.
• Maintain daily updates in Fieldwire with QC, photos, splicing records.
• Provide customer documentation including as-builts and fiber matrices.
• Lead job safety efforts and enforce OSHA safety protocols.
