Job summary

Sweetgreen is seeking an Assistant Coach (Assistant General Manager) in Nashville to lead, mentor, and drive operational excellence. You’ll partner with the Head Coach to set goals, coach the team, and use data-driven insights to deliver fast, friendly guest experiences and build healthier communities through real food.

This hands-on leadership role requires 2+ years in restaurant management, a ServSafe certification, and the ability to manage staffing, schedules, and costs.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a restaurant management/supervisory role.
• Experience managing and developing 6+ team members per shift.
• Food Handler or ServSafe certification.
• Must be available to work a minimum of 30 hours per week.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Head Coach on hiring, onboarding, and training while fostering a culture of trust and recognition.
• Uphold high standards for food safety, cleanliness, and equipment maintenance; inspect quality and temperatures.
• Ensure a clean, hospitable guest journey and brand-aligned experiences.
• Support operational excellence by managing controllable costs, scheduling, and driving sales using the Ops Dashboard.
• Support daily operations, troubleshoot issues, and drive smooth and efficient execution.
• Perform all essential functions outlined in Shift Leader duties and related roles.
