Job summary

Southern Champion Tray, L.P. is seeking a Class A Buildings Maintenance technician for 1st shift in Chattanooga, TN. The role focuses on maintaining buildings, equipment, and systems to support daily operations and safety.

Primary duties include collaboration with the maintenance team, project material list design, and basic construction tasks using plumbing, electrical, masonry, and carpentry skills. HVAC, safety, and machine operation experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Three to Five years’ building/facilities maintenance experience.
• HVAC license required.
• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent.
• Must have basic computer skills and possess ability to utilize software.
• Must read/write English and understand directions in English.

Responsibilities

• Maintains buildings, equipment, and related systems to support job responsibilities.
• Collaborate with maintenance team to complete work efficiently and meet goals.
• Design, fabricate, and create material lists for projects with minimal instruction.
• Assist with construction projects using basic plumbing, electrical, masonry, and carpentry skills; inspect and maintain fire extinguishers.
• Maintain and perform troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Operate boom lifts, scissor lifts, and forklifts as certified.
• Assist training of team members and communicate effectively with the team.
• Adhere to safety policies and 5S/food safety standards.
