Job summary

SOUTHERN CHAMPION TRAY LLC in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a Multicraft Maintenance Technician for 1st shift. This full-time role involves installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production and facility equipment across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic systems.

Responsibilities include preventive and corrective maintenance, downtime response, documentation, and supporting upgrades with minimal disruption.

Qualifications

Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school, or one year related manufacturing experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret safety/operating manuals; strong problem-solving skills.
Fork lift certification required per SCT training.

Responsibilities

Performs installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production and facility equipment across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic systems.
Conducts preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure safe and reliable operations.
Responds to downtime, inspects for issues, and maintains documentation in compliance with safety and technical standards.
Diagnoses equipment failures by reviewing operation, schematics, and input from operators.
Installs and repairs mechanical components like bearings, gearboxes, conveyors, pumps, and rotating equipment.
Troubleshoots PLC-controlled and automated equipment with diagnostics and component replacement.
