Job summary

Scottsdale Unified School District is seeking a journey-level skilled trades professional to perform maintenance across multiple trades including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC. The role involves supervising staff, handling emergency responses, and maintaining detailed records and drawings.

The incumbent will read blueprints, perform repairs, and install or modify equipment while ensuring safety and compliance with district standards.

Qualifications

Requires vocational training and four years of specialized trades experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of safety procedures, codes, and standards applicable to the trades.
Ability to read blueprints and schematics; plan and execute repairs and installations.

Responsibilities

Lead lower level staff, prioritize and assign work; monitor performance; train staff; participate in evaluations.
Repairs or regulates district buildings, fixtures, systems, facilities, and grounds; respond to emergencies and customer concerns.
Install, modify, or service a variety of materials, fixtures, and equipment.
Inspect facilities and systems; ensure periodic servicing and documentation.
Prepare work orders and maintain specifications, drawings, blueprints, and records.
