Job summary

Scottsdale Unified School District is seeking a skilled maintenance supervisor to lead journey-level trades staff. You will perform repairs, installations, and inspections across district facilities, ensuring safety and reliability of systems and grounds.

The role requires a vocational degree with four years of trades experience or equivalent. You will manage work orders, review blueprints, and coordinate purchasing of supplies and tools, while training staff.

Qualifications

• Vocational degree and four years of specialized trades experience directly related to the area of assignment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead to lower level staff: prioritize/assign work, monitor performance, train staff.
• Perform journey level repairs or installations in buildings, fixtures, systems, grounds; respond to emergencies and safety concerns.
• Install/modify a variety of materials, fixtures, and equipment.
• Inspect facilities, systems, fixtures; ensure periodic servicing.
• Prepare work orders and maintain plans, drawings, blueprints, and records.
• Maintain and purchase supplies, equipment, tools, and trucks.
• Perform other duties of a similar nature or level.
