Job summary

ABM Industries Tulsa is seeking a Maintenance Technician to assist the Engineering team with general operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical and craft services. Responsibilities include leading other technicians, handling trouble calls, performing lamp and ballast repairs, plumbing fixtures, and coordinating with the Chief Engineer and PM while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist the Engineering team with operations and maintenance tasks.
• Lead maintenance technicians as assigned.
• Perform repairs of lamps, ballasts, plumbing fixtures, and electrical components.
• Ensure safety regulations are followed and maintain clean work areas.
• Communicate clearly with Chief Engineer and PM.
• Identify best practices and report findings.
• Work with landscaping/janitorial teams as needed.
• Respond to trouble calls and special work assignments.
• Inspect equipment and report issues.

Job description

Assist the Engineering team with all activities concerned with the general operation and maintenance work of the mechanical, electrical and craft services. Function as a working team member in these functions.

• Handles special work assignments and trouble calls.
• Lead other maintenance technician(s)
• Adhere to quality levels and standard practices for all work performed.
• Learn and follow appropriate safety regulations.
• Conduct regular inspections, report findings and report to the Chief Engineer and/or PM.
• Perform any additional duties as directed by the Chief Engineer such as lighting, restroom, plumbing, equipment, etc.
• Overall responsibility for the following functions and tasks:
  • Operation of:
    • HVAC Systems (filters)
    • Water Treatment Procedures (cooling tower cleaning)
    • Electrical Equipment (lighting)
• Specifically, the Maintenance Technician will perform the following duties:
  • Repair/replacement of lamps, ballasts, drivers.
  • Repair/replacement of restroom and kitchen plumbing fixtures.
  • Assist with mechanical preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Work closely with landscaping/janitorial and assist when/where needed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area(s).
  • Identify best practices regarding MT duties and discuss with supervisor regularly.
  • Maintain a clear line of written and verbal communication with Chief as well as PM.

High school education or equivalent

2 years of working experience in facilities maintenance

Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, painting, and carpentry

Ability to work with minimal supervision

Must demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills; customer service oriented

Must be organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, and able to multi-task

Must have the ability to climb heights, lift up to 60 lbs. and climb onto ladders
