Job summary

The South Carolina Department of Corrections seeks a capable supervisor to direct preventive maintenance programs, alteration/repair, renovation and construction projects for electrical systems across 29 institutions and support facilities. A high school diploma is required; ten years of experience in electronics or electrical systems, plus at least two years in a supervisory role.

Must possess a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or obtain one within six months of hire.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma and ten years of experience in electronics, electrical systems, or high‑voltage operations.
• CDL required or able to obtain within six months of hire.
• At least two years in a supervisory capacity.

Responsibilities

• Direct planning, development, organization, coordination, implementation and control of preventive maintenance programs and projects for electrical systems across SCDC facilities.
• Maintain skilled workforce and approve all electrical/electronic functions and procedures.
• Implement and supervise emergency maintenance.
