Job summary

Charleston County Government is seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Supervisor to plan, supervise and coordinate HVAC, electrical, plumbing, painting and carpentry tasks across our facilities. You will manage repairs, preventive maintenance, and work orders, and liaise with occupants and contractors.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED (technical school or associate degree preferred) with 7+ years in building trades and 5+ years in maintenance, plus a valid SC driver's license

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical school or Associate degree preferred.
• 7+ years in commercial building trades; 5+ years in building maintenance.
• Valid SC driver's license; pass SLED background; medical/physical exam requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise and coordinate HVAC, plumbing, electrical, painting and carpentry tasks across facilities.
• Maintain and repair heating/air conditioning systems; ensure components and coils are cleaned per manufacturer guidance.
• Manage work orders with labor and materials, coordinate with other shops/contractors, and document activities.
