Job summary

Panelmatic Inc. is seeking an experienced Fabrication Welder Lead to guide our fabrication team, provide technical direction, and oversee welding and metal fabrication quality. The role balances hands-on production with coaching, ensuring safe, efficient operations and high-quality components for custom control panel assemblies.

The ideal candidate will read fabrication drawings, lead daily activities, and mentor others while maintaining a strong focus on safety and process improvements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of welding and metal fabrication in a manufacturing/industrial setting.
• Previous lead, mentor, or supervisory experience preferred.
• Proficient in MIG welding; TIG welding experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings, blueprints, and weld symbols.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily fabrication activities and assign work to team members.
• Perform MIG and TIG welding and general metal fabrication tasks.
• Read and interpret fabrication drawings, blueprints, and weld symbols.
• Fabricate, fit, and assemble metal components using hand/tools and equipment.
• Ensure weld quality meets standards and customer requirements.
• Inspect finished work for accuracy and compliance with drawings.
• Provide training and guidance to team members.
• Assist supervisors with troubleshooting and workflow improvements.
• Monitor progress to meet production schedules and deadlines.
