Job summary

PlayCore Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Team Lead - Extrusion/Machine Operator for the 2nd shift in Olathe, KS. The role supervises direct reports, ensures quality during extrusion, and collaborates with the production manager to optimize processes.

On-site position with a pay rate of $29 per hour. Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma, supervisory experience, and the ability to read measurements and use standard inspection tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college degree in associated field preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Previous experience operating a plastics extrusion line
• Supervisory experience required
• Strong analytical problem-solving ability
• Ability to leverage metrics and other tools to drive employee performance

• Critical thinking skills

Responsibilities

• Daily supervision of direct reports, addressing employee performance and documenting reviews.
• Identify tools or processes to optimize output and meet KPI goals.
• Load raw materials, calibrate loaders, and ensure quality specifications are met.
• Assemble tooling and set up extrusion lines per work orders.
• Set up and adjust water tanks, calibrators, feed lines, and line speeds.
• Inspect finished parts and measure with calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Maintain production data sheets and SPC/inspection records.
• Determine packaging method and prepare finished parts for shipment.
• Train new employees on extrusion line operation.
• Operate forklift with current certification.
